Periodical Inspection of Lifting Machinery & Accessories

TÜV AUSTRIA Hellas provides periodical inspection services in the following categories of lifting machinery and accessories:

Construction cranes, Dock cranes, Overhead travelling cranes, Jib cranes, Hoists, Mobile cranes, Fork lifts, Mobile elevating working platforms, Hydraulic lifting platforms, Electrical lifting platforms, Lifting platforms for disabled people, Scissors lifts, Vehicle servicing lifts, Post lifts, Motorised parking systems, Lifting accessories (wire ropes, rope slings, suspension belts, suspension chains).

The periodical inspection of a lifting machinery aims, through a thorough examination and testing including load tests, to reassure that the machinery keeps the safety level of the manufacturer’s specifications and is still working properly.

The periodical inspections of the lifting machineries and accessories are performed according the requirements of the applicable International and European Standards for each category of equipment and the national legislation applied in each country. The time intervals between the periodical inspections depend on the categorization of the machinery (high risk category – medium risk category – low risk category) through a risk assessment procedure. Generally a period of twelve months is considered sufficient between the periodical inspections of a machinery.
